Ring Free Review
Like our #1 pick, Ring Free also takes a multi-faceted approach to managing tinnitus. This product advertises that it stops the ringing or buzzing in your ears caused by dried auditory canals or damage to the three small bones in the ear. We didn’t find evidence that treating those factors eliminates tinnitus. Since Ring Free doesn’t share the science behind their formula, we did our own research. While we think this product could help treat tinnitus, we don’t think that it actually does so by lubricating the inner ear. It’s ingredients are beneficial for helping blood pass through the ears, maintaining healthy kidneys, and fighting free radicals and inflammation to possibly help with tinnitus.
Is Ring Free Effective?
The likelihood that a product will be effective can be gauged from the ingredient list. The right ingredients in the right amounts, combined with a healthy lifestyle, should make any product successful. Let’s take a detailed look at what this product is made from and whether or not we suspect it will work as promised.
The first ingredient on the list is Vitamin B6. This vitamin is involved in several processes, including red blood cell production. We like the inclusion of this vitamin because supporting blood health is important in managing tinnitus. However, we were surprised that there weren’t more B vitamins added. We were especially disappointed that B12 was not included because a B12 deficiency has been linked to tinnitus. This is a fair start, since there are many other active ingredients, but we would have liked to see more here.
The next two ingredients left us with some confusion. Chloride is listed as being present as potassium chloride and Potassium is listed as being present as potassium chloride. So, they’re both potassium chloride. But to increase the confusion, they are listed with different amounts, so it’s even harder to understand what is happening here.
Why would a tinnitus supplement even contain potassium chloride? Well, Potassium is present in the cochlea, essential for nerves to work properly, and beneficial for regulating blood pressure. Nerves being overactive or misfiring could be one of the causes of tinnitus so this ingredient could help address tinnitus stemming from nerves. Since high blood pressure has been linked to tinnitus, regulating blood pressure with Potassium could help reduce tinnitus. Additionally, the Potassium in this supplement may help prevent Potassium deficiency caused by diuretics.
A few of the ingredients in Ring Free cause diuretic effects. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the ears and kidneys are connected. Buchu and Corn Silk both help with directing water through the kidneys. Corn Silk also possesses antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Anti-inflammatory ingredients are a must-have in tinnitus relief supplements. Swelling in the inner ear is one of the causes of tinnitus. Additionally, inflammation throughout the body is an underlying cause of many health issues. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and Juniper are two ingredients in Ring Free that have anti-inflammatory properties. ACV also has antibacterial properties which can assist in treating underlying infections that could be causing tinnitus. Juniper is also believed to help improve blood flow which can help blood to pass through the ear smoothly without causing a thumping or pulsing sound.
Antioxidants are another thing we like to see in supplements, tinnitus relief supplements included. Because cellular processes can release free radicals, it’s important for your body to have a strong defense system to prevent damage caused by the free radicals. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals which could be causing a whole slew of issues, including tinnitus. The Cranberry and Watermelon in Ring Free supply the body with antioxidants.
Hearing loss and tinnitus have a symbiotic relationship. It can be impossible to say which one caused the other and they can each exacerbate the other. Therefore, in addressing tinnitus, you must also address hearing loss. For this purpose, Ring Free has 100 mg Green Tea Leaf which contains polyphenols that reduce hearing loss caused by noise damage and injury to the hair cells that detect sound vibrations.
The only remaining ingredient that we haven’t discussed yet is Paprika. We would classify this ingredient as controversial. While some sources claim it is good for tinnitus, some claim that it should be avoided if you have tinnitus. There are testimonials of people who found that Paprika made their tinnitus louder or more intense. We think Ring Free would have done better to leave this ingredient out.
Is Ring Free Safe?
Ring Free is manufactured in a GMP certified and FDA approved facility and there are no mentioned side effects of taking this product. Some of the ingredients cause diuretic effects and therefore you may need to increase hydration to make up for water loss. As with any new supplement or diet introduced into your daily life, we always advise talking to your healthcare professional about possible contraindications of any pre-existing medical conditions or medications that you are taking. Supplements work differently for everyone and the effects vary between individuals so it is always a good idea to run any health changes by a professional.
Summary
Ring Free seems to be a quality tinnitus product. We like that it is made in a certified lab but would have liked to see mention of third-party testing and monitoring. It supports blood flow with B6 and Juniper which is a good start but we think they should have included more B Vitamins for a stronger effect. The focus on kidney health was an interesting approach but they did a decent job of providing ingredients to support this goal. We were also pleased to see the inclusion of anti-inflammatories and antioxidants. This product is good, but it could be better.
